Prasad Bidapa, in association with Linea Aqua, presents a collection of swimwear called Aviva.
Especially designed for South-East Asian Women, the silhouettes feature a figure flattering shape that addresses issues of upliftment and containment. Reinforced panels support and offer a corset like feel that enhance the body in a natural and comfortable way.
Prasad Bidapa says, “I find that a lot of Western swimwear concentrates on European-type bodies and more often than not, those pieces do not suit our Sri Lankan and Indian girls. I wanted to create a silhouette that is flattering – a high-waisted look that I think a lot of girls are going to like because it has built-in support. It’s a very simple and very basic collection. Besides that, I’ve introduced a tropical jungle print in a greenish tone. I like the mixing of the two – I’m not showing them separately.”
