Sharmila Ruberu is a proud mother of three who, since finding her passion for all things fashion, has made a name for herself in the fashion circles of Colombo. While having no formal training, Sharmila draws inspiration from the everyday woman as well as her own free-spirited style.
The word meraki is of Greek origin translating to ‘doing something with soul, creativity or love; to put something of yourself into your work’, something that Sharmila’s latest collection epitomises.
This season’s collection is ‘Quintessentially Monochrome – Intense Confidence Feminised’ – “It focuses on the monochrome through elegant and clean-cut designs. I chose a monochrome colour scheme because it is a timeless classic that never goes out of style. It is the elegance of vivid colour in the presence and absence of all colours. It is an elegant collection that marries the classic with the contemporary.”
ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SWIM WEEK COLOMBO
